Comfort for miles, rubber not the most durable

Great shoes, I've had many pairs of Altras and these are my favorite street shoes. True to size. The only thing holding back this shoe from 5 stars is the durability of the product. The rubber on the bottom wears out fairly quickly, exposing the foam. You can still walk in them that way, but I usually change them in pairs once I start seeing holes in the foam sole. It would be great to see more durable rubber on the shoe but that's my only downside.

Pros
  • The third pair of them; Great shoes and build quality.
Cons
  • Shoes can be too bulky

Great sneakers - my new review

Fits well, comfortable and good quality shoes. My son likes to wear them to runs, but they can also be worn to school. This is his third pair, they all hold up well and we only replace them when he has put too many miles on them.

Pros
  • Helps keep feet cool and dry during exercise
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for walking on slippery surfaces.

Very comfortable and light

It took me a while to find good shoes that I really like this time and I tried on a few to find the right size. Now that I've found it, I'm really excited. It's very comfortable and spacious, but still fits perfectly and moves with your foot with every step. It's a little more padding than I'm used to. I used to be more minimalistic and walk barefoot while hitting the ball. However, I opted for a slightly larger pillow as I have bruises on my testicles. I love this shoe but I can't vouch for…

Pros
  • Removable insole for easy cleaning
Cons
  • Shoes may not have adequate ventilation

Altra is a good concept, but terribly inconsistent

Altra bugs me so much. This is a great shoe company and I've been a customer for a long time, but shoes are made inconsistently. The size in the same style is too big or too small depending on the shoe. In the age of online shopping, consistency is very important.

Pros
  • Ideal for road running and other activities
Cons
  • Shoes may not be flexible enough

Great outdoor shoes: my rating

I was looking for a zero fall road shoe. This shoe is the best. Extremely comfortable, great looking, order one size up to give room for your toes. I love this shoe.

Pros
  • Ideal for running on hard surfaces
Cons
  • Shoes may not have enough heel support

Don't dwell on my review

I bought them as a Christmas present because I have a pair and they look like slippers. On this pair, a rubber sock came off in just 2 months, while mine had a hole in the sock fabric in less than 6 months. That's a problem!

Pros
  • Great shoe if you've never heard of Altra. Really comfortable. I knew it as soon as I put them on. Fits very similar to Topos.
Cons
  • Only 3 months in use and the sole is falling apart. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.

Great shoe but already worn out!

These are amazing shoes and I plan on reordering but this pair is already SIGNIFICANTLY worn! They have yellow-green spots all over them and the soles are pretty dirty. I am setting up returns and plan to use credit towards backorders.

Pros
  • fantastically comfortable
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide adequate arch support.

Comfortable, well-appointed legroom.

Size 13, 6'4", 210 lbs, walks about 12-15 miles a week. Happy with this shoe. Reminds me of an early generation Brooks Pure Cadence. Pretty low Ride with ample cushioning for comfort and protection. The upper is made of stretchy mesh material, provides a snug, secure fit and feels more durable than other mesh shoes. The shoe lining is soft, stretchy, comfortable on the foot. The toe box is not as big as other Altras I've worn (Superior, Lone Peak) but perfect for me, wide enough without play and…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Only available in black

Sizes gone: Men's

first bought online for running shoes and bought myself a size to fit any home gym shop. My 9.5 now I can try them on, I see I need 10.5 maybe 11 for them to fit comfortably. Nothing in the reviews even indicates that they are smaller compared to other brands.

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
  • embarrassed

lousy running shoes

Purchased April 2, 2021, 6 weeks later, hole on top where my toe is. For $135 I was hoping to get at least 3 months from them as I run about 50 miles a week.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Great for speed and tempo training

Important to wear for a few weeks to get used to zero fall and be sure to practice ankle mobility and calf raises/- stretch to focus. When you run with the right forward lean and hit with the first third of your foot, these shoes are incredibly comfortable, light and feel sooooo fast. A lot of people say they don't have calf problems but that usually indicates an imbalance somewhere or a lack of range of motion, if you run with the right form and hit the right path these shoes are amazing.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Comfortable, light shoes with the ability to spread your fingers.

I really like this shoe as it has helped alleviate the symptoms of recurrent metatarsalgia. However, they don't last long. My first pair wore out pretty quickly, so I'm giving them four stars instead of five.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost never
