👟 ALTRA Women's Provision 5 - Teal Green Running Shoes Review

I bought the Provision 5 because I couldn't find the Torin 4.5 plush in my size. My last two pairs of Altras were Torin and with the hammer toe issue and walking 4-5 miles a day I didn't feel they offered the same cushioning and support. I have sent them back and will keep looking until my size becomes available again.

I think these are my new shoes! I like the extra large finger box in Altra. My first pair of Paradigm shoes was great, but the last two pairs seem to wear out too quickly on the outer edge of the sole, so I switched to these as they are said to be designed for slight overpronation. So far I like them very much. Next time I might try a wide width (what if MY foot isn't wide, who are they made for?)

I wear a size 7.5 for training and a size 8. 7.5 is good for training. I added elastic laces to size 8 so they can be pulled on and worn around the house. Although 8 is also good for a short walk. It depends on the thickness of the sock I want to wear which pair I wear. In the store my foot size was 7.5. I like the wide toe of Altra shoes. Especially through the archway you feel even more comfortable for me.

I run 10-50 miles a week and prefer the Altra. I appreciate that they are well made, durable and true to size so I can easily order them online. I usually run on trails, but I've recently moved to a place where I run more on roads and sidewalks. My shoes didn't offer enough cushioning and I knew I needed a different shoe. Position 5 offers excellent cushioning without adding bulk or weight and is very comfortable. The toe box is roomy enough and the mesh upper offers excellent breathability…
