Good tool for multiple use.

I've used it several times for both evacuation systems and core removal for other reasons and sometimes it didn't pull the shredder, sometimes due to the fact that a round nut was used to close the valve, and sometimes there were problems with its capture. The pusher must be extended far enough to grip the valve with the instrument. I know no tool is perfect, but I still plan to use it as needed, at least until something better comes along.

Pros
  • Mega Grip Core Grab Tip for easy and safe core extraction, minimizing core losses
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The only company in the industry that got this tool right.

Has changed my life for the better. I hate Appion pumps but this thing is AMAZING. This is the only tool I've used that actually works in a vacuum. My other coring tools are positive pressure only as I keep these appions in my tool chest and babysit them - they won't come out unless there is a vacuum. If I could criticize the tool, I have a flaw. with it (and in general with all means to remove the kernel). Do you remember seeing or owning a screwdriver with a freely spinning wheel at the top…

Pros
  • Vacuum rated at 20 microns
Cons
  • I really have no complaints about it, everything is fine

The best way to create a vacuum

This is the best way! I don't use anything else to create a vacuum. These are the only vacuum valve core pullers I know of. I use 2 of these and attach a 1/2" hose with a 1/4" fitting to the very back where the damper exits. The other end of the tubing I use has a 3/8 fitting that I connect directly to the TEE on my vacuum pump. I do the same on the other side. No gauges, no restrictions. The 1/4 side fitting on the suction side I connect directly to my micrometer and the 1/4 side fitting on…

Pros
  • Double o-ring ball valve seal for accurate vacuum testing
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
