Worked well but got lost easily

This worked well on the two dives I've had. I attached the strap to the BCD and it worked to get my partners attention, but at some point the strap must have snapped because it disappeared at the end of my second dive. I will look for another type of underwater sound generator

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

Magnet doesn't seem to work

Whatever makes noise in the tube DOESN'T stop making noise. So it's very annoying as it rattles all the time. I tried shaking and twisting slowly and vigorously to see if it even sticks and how. but no luck. I worry how he'll keep rattling and sounding from false attention in his dive.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

Works very well! A small, simple modification made by me.

I attached some small magnets to the outside of mine and shrink taped them to keep them from rattling unless I want them to rattle. The rest is perfect. I already had magnets and shrink tape on hand so it didn't cost me anything extra.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad

Into the Light of Sounds - Diving & Snorkeling

I couldn't get my dive buddy's attention until I started banging him on the tank for a louder, deeper sound. My dive buddy said she didn't notice the noisemaker most of the time, and even when she did, she didn't register it as an attempt to get her attention. also an independent note, all ropes are worn out on first use

  • Certified

  • So far so good

Breaks easily with Safety Gear

This is the second muffler I've bought. On the second dive the strap broke on the first and I lost it. I tried again. This time the line broke on my first dive but luckily I managed to catch it before it was blown away by the wind. The call is audible underwater, but the cable needs to be replaced.

Bad plug good for sport

I bought two of these for my wife and myself. We really like it when they get each other's attention. I almost lost mine when the plastic stopper lost one of the connections and I noticed it fell off while diving. I took it out and tied a knot at the end, there were no problems. Then my wife did the same as she walked to the car after the dive. absence.

Pay attention to the size!

This signal does what you would expect. With that in mind, don't be afraid to buy it. However, this is a big one. I'm 6'1, 250 with XL arms. When considering this signal, pay attention to the dimensions. For perspective look at my photos. If you want to dive streamlined, this accessory can hang down about 12 inches. So if you like the large size, you need to keep it in your pocket or maybe attach it to a velcro. Don't get distracted, just do your homework. The 3-star rating isn't related to the

Great product - works well, quality construction

This device works really well when you are trying to draw attention or get the attention of friends or a group. really great for instructors or buddies that are more than 5 meters apart. I've successfully attracted attention from 15 yards (didn't try further). The construction is robust and withstands the typical bumps and pressures encountered during diving trips. There were no wrong signals with him. Neither when strapped to a BCD nor when clipped into a BCD pocket. WARNING: as anotherโ€ฆ
