is it real for silicone grease

Bought from Stick Price and made by Revain. I received the tube in a small plastic bag, not retail packaging. I couldn't find any mention of "Bulk" or "OEM" so I was expecting this in retail packaging. I do not buy such repackaged items as there is no way to guarantee their authenticity. This worries me deeply, especially when it's a critical component in a new PC build. It was the only thing I needed to complete the build and they even sent it to me the next day. Everything seems fine in the…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Something is wrong

This is not a product review, so please do not take it as such. I have used Arctic Silver before on the advice of friends and have not been disappointed. A 3.5G tube made from this material should last you quite a while if used properly. The tube I recently purchased from this seller took one use and is now almost empty, the plunger is almost to the bottom. The hose was packaged in a plastic bag, which is certainly not the same as the manufacturer's. I see no reason why it should be taken out…

Inconsistent quality, doesn't last as advertised

I've bought this thermal paste so many times over the years, every time I build a new rig for myself or someone else. At first it was great. A friend introduced me to high school and I wasn't disappointed. Fast forward 10 years and the new thermal paste I got for my new setup last week is dripping and dripping everywhere. Imagine scraping liquid thermal grease off a new motherboard. not funny! I quickly asked for a replacement and the next one was ok. Then I had to disassemble my old device and

Excellent Heat Transfer

My Corsair v100i liquid cooler originally came with a square of thermal grease pre-applied, but I've found that my temperatures are higher than expected and my fans on the heatsink run at full speed when running Even under load, this is not what you would expect from a supposedly silent solution. The fact that the temperature reached 70°C meant a potential thermal threat to my 2700K processor. So I ordered this and using alcohol wipes I cleaned the pre applied square of thermal paste from the…

Don't buy this!: Thermal Paste and Gaskets

I've been using Arctic Silver MX-4 in my builds and builds for others for years. I've never had a problem with it and it's always delivered fantastic heat transfer. It was time for a thorough cleaning of my case and I decided to give Arctic Silver 5 a try. I'm not sure if this is the real Arctic Silver 5 or if it's some crap they put in a tube and sell as an AS5, but it's complete rubbish. After turning on my PC with this product on my CPU (i7-6700k @ 4.6Hz and 1.35V) it only heats up to 75C on

Remember: Learning never pays

Be yourself 13 years ago. Built a new fire breather. Top PC (at least for a college nerd). I play WoW on top graphics. I'm on a quest as a tauren in Thunder Bluff on one of these plateaus (just got back). Do you know why I remember it so vividly? Because my computer crashed last time. I learned a hard lesson: always apply a small, pea-sized amount of paste and make sure it covers most if not all of the CPU substrate without lifting. I didn't cover the CPU enough so it overheated. The processor…
