The price of this item is much lower than Downy Unstoppables which is why I bought it. The smell is good (I like a clean smell) and being Arm and Hammer I assumed (wrongly) that baking soda would be added and would help. The scent doesn't last at all. It's more like you used a strong-smelling dryer sheet. I really wish it would work because it's cheaper but I burn out so fast. I always try to find a nice scent that lasts on my clothes for days. I think my laundry room is full of laundry smell now. I wouldn't say it's so strong that people will smell you when you walk by (you know who you are) but you can definitely smell it if you sniff around the drawers/closet a lot. This is the perfect "clean laundry” scent. I no longer use a dryer!
