No TPM header. in motherboards

If you don't work in a safe environment, you might like this motherboard. Since there is no TUF series for the Z490 chipset, this led me to the ProArt series. It looks very multifunctional and of the same quality. I have enjoyed years of stability with the TUF series and have expected the same from ProArt. It's not as rigid as the TUF series (no aluminum dust cover) but appears to use similar components, which is great. The Deal Breaker does not have a TPM header. Many environments require a…

Know what you're buying

The reason it's worth paying a little more for this board is because of the TB3 Type-C connectors (2), the HYPER 10G network adapter (the costs about $100) and plenty of USB ports, including USB 3.2. If you need a connection to work with multiple drives and USB devices, then this is a workhorse. The included CreationFirst software also helps you prioritize network traffic for content creation. This is a workstation, not gaming. While it's suitable for gaming, there are cheaper alternatives. One

Caution computer and accessories

So I bought this card with high hopes. After the installation everything worked fine. Then I installed the wireless adapter card and downloaded the drivers. The adapter card is not visible. Then I installed the graphics card right away. I call Asus and they worked with me to troubleshoot and identify the board as faulty. Amazon sent a replacement. Installed replacement and same thing. Asus again said this board is bad and the only thing the tech kept telling me was a new card and there are…

Disappointing experience

Actually I bought this motherboard 3 times. The first purchase was made from the Revain warehouse and the board arrived in near perfect condition. However, I could not get any video output even though the board powered on properly. I've tried everything including contacting Asus support (which was awful and wasted 90 minutes). So I sent the board back and bought a fresh factory version. Or so I thought. When I received the board it was pretty obvious that the box had been opened and the…

It is ideal as a baseboard for workstations.

The price is good for what it is. This is a workstation base board with a 10G network card. Most 10G Lan cards cost around $100. The downside is that it's not built-in and has to occupy one of your PCIE slots. It shares the bandwidth, but most motherboards in this price range do. T3 will be disabled when you fill the PCIEx16_3 slot. I have a 10G card with a PCIEx16_2 slot. The tradeoff is that my GPU runs at 8x, but I can leave my T3 on. My settings are for video editing, so 8x is enough for my

Good board for tb3, bad board for non-tb3

This board is like no man's land, for me it's a 10/10 replacing Apple and Lenovo computers with something more usable. my universal audio, Focusrite and Avid products. Adobe, Protools, Games, etc. are perfect for the average user. it's an easy 5/10 just because the price is double the average Z or X board. (Also, unless you're a pro or using tb3, what are you using Intel for anyway? For most people, AMD better!) I can't comment on the Tb3 graphics, but you need to connect your display to the…
