Smooth Shifting with this Automotive Gem

This filter drastically improved the shifting quality of my automatic transmission. The installation was a breeze and the filter feels durable. However, the price is a bit steep compared to other filters in the market.

Pros
  • Improved shifting quality, easy installation, durable.
Cons
  • Slightly expensive compared to competitors.

Does not include sump gasket

Bought this a few months ago and have stored it for use when needed. When I finally needed it, I didn't have time to return it to Revane. I've already drained the fluid and removed the oil pan from my truck. I then opened the box to find that the "kit" was ONLY the filter and did NOT include a pan gasket, even though the clear label on the box indicated there was one. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Ensures durability of transmission if replaced at regular service intervals
Cons
  • Fragile

Installed in 2006 F250 with new pan for better filtration

F250 from 2004 to 2007 has a relatively poor filter. In 2008 Ford decided it was worth developing a new filter and dies to stamp the new transmission pan. The new filter is full flow. So I bought a pan pretty cheap, this filter and the gasket. In 2006 he also had an additional transmission filter, which I also bought. If you upgrade, you must either bypass the secondary filter or leave it on. I chose to leave it on. Transmissions from 2008 onwards have a longer service interval and this is…

Pros
  • Filter only option vs. B-407 with reusable seal Type OE
Cons
  • Older model
