Excellent quality: kitchen napkins and towels

I bought towels from another brand of flour sacks and was disappointed with the quality. I am very happy with this brand. They are well made and the product is thick enough for embroidery. This is my new permanent purchase!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Communication with the seller

Not very absorbent in the kitchen and dining room

They look good and wash well. Until they are painted. Stains are a real problem in my kitchen. Love the idea of embroidering them as decorative towels. However, as utility towels they are not the best. No matter how many times I've washed them, the absorbency hasn't increased. They only push liquids.

  • Always liked

Worked for me! Kitchen & Dining

They go perfectly with my project (self-adhesive vinyl)! I had to prewash them first and I will say be ready to iron a bit because they wrinkle a bit and I folded them straight out of the dryer. Dryer sheets have been used but no fabric softener as it is not recommended to use before using iron-on vinyl. I haven't used them to clean anything so I don't know how absorbent they are.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • No Instructions

Disappointed Best in Kitchen & Dining

Just received these and was disappointed. They are thin and have a small hem. I used to buy the Utopia brand and really liked it. The Utopia brand is soft with a significant hem. They aren't that hard and don't wrinkle. I have absolutely nothing to do with Utopia. I just wanted to share my experience. These towels are washed and cleaned. Now I need to make another purchase to get a better towel.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Protection

My new craft Go to

I use them for HTV towel design. I bought flour bag towels from Walmart and they were very flimsy, poorly sewn, and very wrinkled. I tried them based on reviews and they are AMAZING. Still thin but woven much thicker. The seams are even, there is a hanging loop on the back. I will only buy this brand from now on! The slightly higher price per towel compared to Walmart justifies the quality.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Auntie Em's Kitchen Vintage Flour Bag Kitchen Towels

These towels are thin and dainty. At first I was happy to get a "Bakers Dozen" in the package! But no matter how many times I wash them, they DO NOT sink in. Water drips and smears only when drying dishes. I don't use fabric softener or towel dryer because I know this can affect absorbency so it must be something in the fabric. I wouldn't buy them again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Disappearing

Excellent quality. suitable for kitchen and table linen

The best quality I've found in vintage style. Towel for flour sacks. I've used them to embellish vintage machine embroidery designs like Flamingo Days of the Week and they've been a hit with my daughters and granddaughters. Reminds me of my childhood drying dishes for my grandma using real FlourSack towels that she hand-embroidered simple patterns onto. In fact, she would embroider on Saturday nights while we were listening to our favorite radio shows. Amos and Andy, our Miss Brooks and of…

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Useless features

These are NOT real flour sacks.

I would give this product 0 stars if I could. The only thing they have in common with real flour burlap is that they are white and square. Calling them "vintage" out of courtesy is not true. The weave of the fabric is different. They have a crunchy feel and aren't as soft and buttery as real flour burlap. I washed a 3 times to see how the fabric would be and to see if there was any sizing in it. There was no softening. Not the real deal.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Faulty

High quality burlap cloths for flour

Bought for gifts, adding machine embroidery patterns. For Christmas I bought a few bags of flour from Walmart, about 12 towels for about $1 each. They were very wrinkled, not symmetrically square, only hemmed on 2 sides, and very thin. I found these towels from Aunt Em at Revain and thought I'd give them a try, albeit at around $2 each. Worth every penny! These towels are made from a thicker fabric, very neat edges on all 4 sides, with twill tape on one corner for hanging to dry. I embroidered…
