Very high quality material, thick plastic, very well made. Very happy with my purchase 😃 Now I can save more by only using refills instead of disposables. I will be buying more soon. Update: I have ordered my second unit which I will be using for the carbon and GFO reactor. I used carbon on the first block, will add this new one for GFO.

Amazing for my canister pre-filter. Offers space for 2 layers of fine, medium and coarse sponge as well as LOTS of space for filter floss. I take another one for puring because I fit a good 500ml in it and it comes with small thin spacers at the top and bottom to keep the medium from leaking out. For regular mechanical filtration, I pulled out the bottom pad so the water hits my sponges first. And top left for additional fine filtering. Pretty neat and a great price.

I bought this for my dry sump to fill with charcoal or phosgaurd. Or anything really. Works perfect. The only thing I would recommend is to remove the grille that attaches to the bottom and top and just leave the regular slots alone as this restricts flow to some extent. I use 1" foam on the top and 1" foam on the bottom to keep it tight. BUT with charcoal pellets you don't need foam sponges if you pack them very well and then when you put them back in place you will find that NO charcoal…
