Does one size always work? Not here.

Too small for a big man's head. One size does not fit all and does not cover ears well. Material quality etc was ok but they need bigger sizes. It's ridiculous to say everything is one size fits all, but I bought it and immediately sent it back. In fact, I haven't found a sufficiently large, thin skull cap and have already tried three. It's not like I'm Jabba the hut. Hat size 7.5 etc. Not stretchy enough to qualify for a one size. Does one size always work? Not here.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Nothing

Too tight but seems great for those with small heads!

The product itself is not bad, the fabric is excellent, not hot, seems breathable and well made, the problem is that I could not use it for more than a few minutes because too tight at the seam for mine head and it was very uncomfortable so I ended up taking it off and improvising with a neck gaiter during my bike ride. Unfortunately I will be returning it but if there was a larger size I would reconsider.

Cold Weather Essential

Just completed a two day cyclocross weekend in just above freezing. This cap was great. It was very snug on my head (I have a big head) and never felt like it would dangle, even without the helmet on. The ear cups protected your ears from the cold without blocking too much sound, but you can just fold them down when you don't need to cover them. If you have long hair there is a hole in the back for a ponytail, which I don't have, but it was still useful to see where the "back" of the cap was…

What a mixed bag!

I loved it at first - they are very comfortable, thin and cover the ears. I love it so much that I have ordered more! Then one day, when the temperature was in the 40s and there was a strong wind, I rode my bike out and found that my ears and head were freezing! If the thing is lined because it says "thermal" - I definitely don't see it anywhere. In my opinion it is a bit thicker than a nylon hose. So if warmth isn't the primary concern I'd say it's a good deal BUT I'm not at all sure about…

Great helmet cap for cycling in cold weather

I'm a bit keen on sports but I have problem feet so cycling five or six days a week has become my main occupation. For the past four or five years, I've been promoting the season early and late. This is a really good helmet cap to wear under a helmet, warming the head while allowing moisture through. I have a thinner hat that isn't very warm and a pair of thicker hats that are too warm (and tend to bleed their black color). This has become my favourite. I also enjoy sitting in the cooler…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are some nuances

OK, but there are a few major flaws - uncomfortable, no washing instructions

Verdict: Better than freezing, but not very good. Bought to wear under a horse helmet. It's warm, fits under my helmet, stays on my ears and the slit in the tail is a plus. But it has major flaws. He's too fat. The riding helmet is quite tight at first, and this makes my helmet too tight. The brim of the cap also digs into my skin so much that it leaves an imprint on my forehead that disappears after a few hours. I have a fairly small head (size 6 7/8) so if you have a larger head it can get…

Almost exactly what I wanted.

This cap is thin enough to fit perfectly under a bike helmet and light enough that I don't have to take it off while riding and I ride hard. The fabric and stitching seem to match and there is an expandable opening at the back to fit a ponytail. I wish I could give this one more star but it's too small for my head. I have a big head and quite a bit of hair, but it barely fits and the ear cups actually ride up and pull on my earlobes. It says 'one size' but it's clearly marked with an M…

Keep Hour Hour Head Heat On Chilly Rides

I was cycling this morning wearing a BALEAF skullcap. The temperature was 42F (5-6C) and I rode at an average speed of 14 miles per hour (23 km/h) for about 40 minutes. The hat did its job perfectly and warmed the head and ears. As the weather gets colder I'll try to remember to update this review. The BALEAF skullcap sits well on my head. I wear a 7 1/4 (22 5/8 in; 58 cm) beanie and the beanie is not too tight, in fact someone with a slightly larger head could wear it without being tight. I…

  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

I wear a 2XL helmet, work in the kitchen and have a long ponytail that is almost 2 feet long. I wear my hair in a chef hat most of the time, I had to shop around 6 different brands to find a good chef hat for me, wide/high brim, stretchy, no velcro and most importantly big enough for my ponytail, my nose and will be swept underneath. Based on my previous experience of finding a good chef's hat, I decided to buy a total of 3 different "helmet liners" from different brands, I loved it! When I saw
