Most new touchscreen stereos have AUX and USB inputs on the back that require extension cords. If you don't smoke, why not use a cigarette lighter instead of extension cords that just lie on the floor? It looks factory. This particular unit works great in a 2005 Toyota Sienna that has two cigarette lighter sockets. On my particular car, I had to file some plastic on the console to widen the hole so the extension would fit properly. I'm not sure if Toyota has slightly narrower holes or if…

Easy to install and looks great

My 2010 Chevy Silverado came with two cigarette lighter sockets. Actually one was just a 12V port for plugging in chargers etc. I didn't need a cigarette lighter port anyway. When I bought a used truck, the previous owner installed a radio. It has a USB port on the back so you can use the screen radio with Android Auto GPS. There was a USB cable connected to the radio and the cable lay with the female end on a trance bump in the ground. He connected a short USB cable to it to use Android Auto…

Pros
  • Use an existing hole or cut a hole in the dashboard and attach the socket to mount flush with the car dashboard.
Cons
  • Quality

USB is a very solid connection, mounting solution could be better

In an ideal world the flange would be larger so I could just carefully pour epoxy in there instead of using a nut. There's no way in God's green earth to take my car's dashboard apart just to tighten that nut. No, I didn't have to disassemble the dashboard to install the radio. To get to the cigarette lighter on my particular car, especially in the back, I would have to remove the center console. No thank you. The USB connector is a VERY tight connection, which is both good and bad. If you want

Pros
  • A bracket is included so you can mount the connector on your car's dashboard.
Cons
  • So far so good

But it's a good concept.

I bought this cable for my 2009 Sierra to replace the factory USB port. The wrench fits perfectly in the existing hole, but good luck backing it up. I fiddled around for 20 minutes trying to tighten a cheap plastic or maybe rubber nut(?). The next dilemma was figuring out where to go with the 9 miles of cables they give you after they finally stuffed everything into the dash. The first time I removed the cover to insert a flash drive, the cover immediately pulled away. . Even after about 3 days

Pros
  • This Batige cable is designed for car use but can be used for any application such as bikes, boats etc.
Cons
  • weak

Ideal for AUX and USB

I installed it on the center console where the parking brake for the Acura RSX is. Make sure your USB plug or thumb drive releases the parking brake lever when it is in the down position. Look SUPER clean and professional. 1) - For those who drive an ACURA RSX I had to put this in the center console. because I had to install NO WHERE in my dashboard. There just wasn't enough room to fit in without hitting anything. 2) - I also DID NOT want to lose my cigarette lighter because that's where I…

Pros
  • Use an existing hole or cut a hole in the dashboard and attach the connector to mount flush with the vehicle dashboard.
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
