Makes the breaking of bread easier

I bought a cheaper XB-455 version of this tool. This board broke the first time I used it on my ATV tire. I've used these several times now. This quickly became my favorite way to break a pearl. Can easily break the beads within 5 minutes.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • The list will be long.

The bolt broke after a few uses

Thing is heavy and useful but the main grease print broke off after a few uses. This bolt should be a higher quality and different tool made for this type of tool, especially for the price you are paying for this thing. The money was returned quickly, but I would like a useful tool. Even with the right screw, this tool is overpriced.

Fits large tractor tires

I have a large International 986 tractor and needed a new tube in one of the rear tires. The bolts holding the wheels are completely rusted so I needed a tool to break the beads on the tire while the wheels were still attached to the tractor. This tool successfully broke the beads on both sides of the wheel. I'm deducting a start because the stationary legs don't align well with the pusher foot making it difficult to get into position and also the wing nut on the leg screw loosens too easily…

excellent beads

excellent product! First let me say I bought it straight away, no gifts, no free trial, etc. This is a great product! I've just used it to pop the bead on an old tractor tire, it works fantastic, had to pop it in 3 different places but was easy to do. It looks like a well made product and next time I plan to use it to remove some quad tires. It's a bit pricey but the tire changer wanted $100 to replace a tractor tire when they make good tire mounts now! Update on the review, I've been using it…

Works well but too expensive.

I bought this to break the bead on tires that don't fit the tire changer. I have to say it's a lot smaller than I expected and only weighs a few pounds. So far it has worked very well, handling the most stubborn beads. The wedge slides easily under the bead and adapts very well to the rim. I've used it on 8" rims, ATV rims and even tractor rims. However, there are several issues that are unforgivable. First, the magnetic pad on the tool is weak and will fall off on impact. Second, the return…

Difficult to position

XB-550 purchased. IF YOU CAN GET IT IN POSITION to make it work, then a lubricated 5/8" bolt can certainly develop some force pushing the bead down. Any tire with thick sidewall rubber near the bead (which protrudes past the edge of the rim on many tire/wheel combos) will make it almost impossible to get the BeadBuster in place. The demos don't show this. It's strong enough to withstand a hit with a 4-pound hammer, but that's often not enough. It didn't help that the moveable "leg" in the…
