I don't know which phone holder is being reviewed but it's definitely not the one I just received. where to start It's obvious from the start that the dash mount wasn't made for the Mazda CX-5, and it doesn't even come close. to protect my phone. The TCL 10L will NOT fit in or out of a suitcase. "Carbon Fiber" is just a cheap sticker that was already peeling off when it arrived. Doesn't look like the description shows. Weak, flimsy, cheap plastic. Don't waste money

Read some bad reviews, one guy said it doesn't fit his 2018 CX-5, well I have a 2018 CX-5 GT (USA) and a vent base plate that just is attached. When you hold it against the air vents it doesn't seem to fit at all, but you just push it and it snaps into place. It holds my iPhone 11 fairly securely with a case on. After looking at many phone holders, this is the best design for me. The base snaps securely into the dash trim around the top and bottom of the air vents (no connection to or stress on the air vent louvers, which is an important feature to avoid breakage - do we all do this once?) and can be removed without leaving any residue, since snapped on, not glued. I have a 2020 Mazda CX5 GT. This item comes in a box with three components: a base, a ball/ring that fits/screws onto the base, and a phone holder. Take the base out of the box, unscrew the ring and insert the ball into the base, put the ring back on and install the bracket.
