Good mouse pads are good for mouse pads and wrist rests

To be honest I absolutely hated this thing when it came out. It seemed very solid and I felt like it wasn't doing what I wanted and was just getting in the way at the moment as I'm not used to having anything in front of my keyboard. Now that I've had it a little, I like it. I've learned to position it better when typing and adapt it to my sitting position. It's very comfortable to lean on your wrists when you type a lot, and it's comfortable to rest your elbow or hand on it when you're…

Pros
  • Durable and effective mouse pad that protects your wrists
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Gel-free mouse pads and wrist rests

Very disappointed with this mouse pad. I have previously purchased a Best Buy gel keyboard and wrist pads and have been very satisfied. I know Belkin was one of them, but I'm not sure about the other. They were soft but firm and supportive and didn't move when I moved my wrist/arm/hand. They lasted for years (although my young nieces poked a hole in the mousepad to play with the gel). This one I just received is very light and gel free. If I squeeze it or even put my wrist on it, it bursts like

Pros
  • Non-slip rubber base keeps pad securely in place
Cons
  • Negative impression

This is not a gel pad - Mouse Pads & Wrist Rests

The palm rest is quite comfortable but doesn't conform to the shape of your hand. Reason: It's not a gel. It has foam inside. I didn't really like the pad so I cut it open and there was foam in there. Belkin, please don't lie that it's a gel. It is not. I have uploaded two photos of the pad. One of them shows the material in the palm rest, which is clearly Styrofoam.

Pros
  • Smooth and precise tracking surface
Cons
  • Upgrades

The constant crackling makes this redesign not worth buying.

I got one of these in 2001 and still keep it and when I needed a new one I bought it without looking at the reviews because I'm familiar with the old am completely satisfied even 16 years later. However, it seems that during these years they decided to revamp it for the worse. Not only is the gel pad hard, as opposed to the softness of the old one, but a kind of plastic bubble wrap is placed underneath. It crackles with every movement of your wrist! I thought I must have stumbled upon a poor…

Pros
  • Revolutionary wave design allows for natural hand and wrist movement
Cons
  • Little things
