Bell Custom 500 Helmet (Gloss Vintage White - X-Small) Review

I've had a Bell Custom 500 helmet for about ten years and have only worn it twice. As I got older (and wiser), I tried wearing a hard hat again. The material of the ear cushions peels off and covers my shirt and beard enough to draw attention and make everyone I meet along the way laugh. Bought after a thorough study of what makes a proper helmet, which ones tend towards the main oval and which make them light. It meets all of these requirements. For reference, my hat size is 7 5/8 with a slightly oval head. Size XL almost feels like they made it just for me. Fits where it doesn't move but has no pinch points or hard spots. Fantastic helmet, breathes well and is light. A little stiff at first, but breaks in well after about 10 hours and is SUPER comfortable. The forage quality is top notch as you would expect from Bell. The finish is flawless. Be sure to check the hem on the D-ring side, mine was a little frayed where the buckles rubbed against the helmet in transit, but that's not a deal breaker. So far this article is amazing. Got this after ordering 2 Biltwell Bonanza helmets and I'm glad I didn't settle for gold because the 500 fits my head perfectly. Not to say the Biltwell was of poor quality, in fact it was almost as good as the 500, but I would say the bell was of slightly higher quality, but not by much.
