The scoop arrived safely and the holes are the right size for sieving small pieces. I took off a star because they stuck the label right over the holes; and even after soaking, the glue stayed. I had to use Goo Gone to remove the glue. As a PS, I should add that this doesn't sift out coarse cat litter like arm and hammer.

I used this in addition to my regular dustpan because the holes in my regular dustpan cause small balls of trash to stick together in the box, which bothers me. I use kitty litter, which is very fine, almost like sand, so I thought this would help the litter get rid of the tiny clumps. The holes were too small to let even good junk out. sent back.

I've had trouble finding a scoop with holes small enough to keep our cat litter clean so we can make the most of the expensive Sustainably Yours cat litter. This shovel works great and I love that the edge of the shovel is dustpan sharp so I can get to the debris without breaking the lump. It will take longer to "filter" things through the scoop, but it just takes some getting used to.

Bought to catch little bits of "litter" left in the litter box - those pieces fall down through the larger cat litter holes in my old shovel. Unfortunately, while the holes in this scoop are smaller, they are too small for the type of cat litter we use (Tidy Cat Clumping), so this scoop also catches plenty of clean litter. This scoop is much better suited for use in a fine sand terrarium.

I was just looking for a cat litter scoop without wide slots. I often had so much debris when harvesting. There aren't many shovels that don't have wider slots. I've come across a few reptile terrariums that have smaller round holes on the bucket rather than wider slots. But some of them seemed too small for what I was looking for.
