Perfect fit for Sram DUB BB bottom bracket - and it's steel

This is a steel bottom bracket tool that perfectly fits my SRAM Dub BSA bottom bracket. I assume this will last forever. or until they change the standards. This is way better than some of the other well known brands that sell aluminum versions. Make sure you have a 1/2 inch socket wrench.

Pros
  • Bike tool and service
Cons
  • So so

Better than the competition

I have a similar bottom bracket tool from a big company that starts with a P. This tool is better. It fits just as well or even better, it's much stronger and most importantly, the construction allows the ratchet, torque wrench, hemp wrench, etc. to be closer to the perimeter of the bottom bracket shell, making the tool much less prone to flex and slip

Does the job, strong but can scratch cups

Works very well but it's steel so much harder than aluminum. So if aluminum bottom bracket cups are tightened to the correct torque with this tool, there is a high chance that the bottom bracket cups will get light scratches. I think that's why a similar well known branded tool is made out of alloy. So the bottom line is that it's a nice solid tool and does the job well, but if you're too worried about looks (your BB cups, but still :) ) - you might be better off having a little less robust…
