My daughter threw the original in the washing machine without my knowledge. I looked at the original price. $50 was the cheapest! So I use my personal phone, which isn't very fun. The original Samsung 4K UHD TV remote control has seen better days. I chose this universal remote and it works just like the original. The only difference is that there is NO voice control button on this remote control. Not a deal breaker as I don't even remember ever using it or anyone else in the family. Otherwise, this remote is a bargain compared to the more expensive original Samsung remote.

I hated the remote control that came with my Samsung TV so much I used Roku instead. However Roku started acting strange and 4k wasn't recognized properly so I went back to using the apps on the TV and was SO disappointed with the remote.
