🔬 Optimized Biohome Plus Filtering Media Review

Based on my observations, this filter media has improved the quality of my aquarium water tremendously. The beneficial bacteria within the media have helped to establish a healthy environment for my fish. The size of the media also allows for maximum surface area to promote bio-filtration. However, the price may deter some hesitant buyers as it is slightly more expensive than other options in the pet supplies market.

Added this biodome media to my new 40 dilution sump for my 150 gallon Xtra High aquarium and waited for the biomedia to mature. I used to have 3 canisters of Sun Sun 704B. Filtered with 11lbs of clean media for 1 year and my nitrates were zero so I know it's working ask in the ad. 40 breeder swamps replaced 3 canisters.

I used this media in a Fluval FX4 canister filter along with Biohome starter beads as recommended by the manufacturer for about 45-50 gallons of water in a 90 gallon aquarium with my two large, very dirty aquatic animals. Turtles that have always been a big problem to stay clean. After trying many other organic media over the years, I was finally able to create a lasting bacterial balance in the water with these products for the first time. Brilliant! A bit pricey but worth it!
