I have two Aeron chairs, one had foam cushions and the other had leather. The leather started tearing, so I decided to replace them with foam rubber. I have to say they are just as good if not better than the Herman Miller version. Very happy with them - you can't go wrong!

I have to change the armrests every 3 or 4 years. These are great substitutes and seem to be holding up just as well as the originals. They're firm and could be a little softer, but I mostly use the pads to help me get in and out of charred fabrics rather than to help them sit, which is why softness is so important to me.
