🌸 Enhance Your Floral Arrangements with Boieo Ikebana Kenzan Flower Frog Round, 2.4 Review

I have 2 of these Kenzans and they tip over very easily. In one composition I have 2 peonies at an angle of about 45 degrees, a low bouquet of hydrangeas, and on the other side a kenza and several light green plants. Since I carefully balanced both sides, the Kenzan should stay in place. But that's not the case. It slides and slides from right to left and back to front. I may need a larger Kenzan but this 2.5 inch seems to be the standard size.

I have many ideas about how I want my flower arrangements to look, but they usually never live up to my expectations. These flower frogs (who came up with the name? A frog? A flat circle with spikes?) help me keep my floral arrangements the way they are, a little less tragic. They're decently heavy, and although I've only had them a few months, they seem to handle the heavily chlorinated water of the Seattle area quite well.

I wanted to use it as a backup Kenzan and bought the larger main unit directly from my Ikebana teacher. This kenzan is the perfect size for a pair of antique brass ikebana vases I own. I've used it before for a Chinese New Year arrangement and it was able to hold a tall bamboo branch 3 feet tall and 2 inches in diameter set aside along with other branches and flowers in a simple ceramic vase. .
