🔌 BOSCH VAC024 Adapter for Vacuum Hose Review

This adapter will NOT fit 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" vacuum hose. The hose OD is 1 1/2" and the vacuum hose OD is 1 1/2". 1 1/2 inches. The inside diameter of the sleeve is 1 1/4 inches. If your vacuum hose size matches the ID, you're in luck. But I've never seen a hose that size. The turning movement on this adapter is not smooth.

I have a Bosch ROS20VS ROS grinder and this adapter does not fit my grinder in any way. The outside diameter of the grinder shaft is 1.125 inches. The entry at the threaded end of the adapter is 1.375" or 1/8" wider than the shank. The other end is even bigger. Looking at other reviews of this adapter, all I can think of is that there are supposed to be several grinders of different sizes under the model number ROS20VS.

Does not fit my Bosch random orbital sander. If anyone wants the measurements, here they are: Side 1: AD tapers slightly: 1.52-1.59", ID 1.24". This side is hard plastic. Side 2: OD is also slightly tapered: 1.40-1.44 inches, ID is 1.02 inches. This side is hard rubber - little flexibility. There is an o-ring groove on the 2 OD side, but the groove is much deeper than the o-ring diameter. The O-ring is completely submerged and cannot come into contact with anything. I know the ROS20VS is an older model but mine works great for my applications. Like others, I was disappointed by the sheer number of adapters. It took a while but my research led me to the conclusion that this adapter was what I needed. I can't comment on other brands or models of sanders but if you have a Bosch ROS20VS orbital sander this is a perfect fit. It takes a little time to install on the grinder's outlet, but not too much, and the tight fit means it won't come loose. The hose on my…
