I bought this box for my father to build a house. He went underground and when he started on the walls the trigger (plastic) broke into pieces. I called Bostitch direct and they sent a replacement free of charge, but there's no way the trigger should have fallen apart after two weeks of use. Ridiculous. I have since replaced the trigger with an alternative trigger (7 days delivery time!). while it works fine. hope it lasts The rest of the gun works great. No jamming and shoots well.
I used a Hitachi that I borrowed from a neighbor before buying this one. It has a little more weight, so it makes it a little bulkier. Toggling triggers to change actuation type is an utter pain, and it's difficult to reset in single fire mode. So pulling the trigger will fire the nail unless you physically pull the trigger before placing the tip. The only other downside to this nailer is the push button depth adjustment, it really doesn't do anything for small nails. Once you get used to how…
This framing gun is exactly what I expected. I like spiral nailers more than stick nailers because they're much easier to work in those hard-to-reach places. Not to mention that the N89C-1 is capable of driving 16d nails, which used to be an advantage for nailers. Revain's great price and fast shipping make it all that much better. I left the "smart" shutter on as I use it all the time. Some people like to change the trigger because of the possibility of a double shot if the gun hits the ground
