Description of 🐟 Enhanced Boxtech Aquarium Filter Media - High Capacity Ceramic Bio Filter Media Blocks for Fish Tank Sump, Canister Filter, Koi Ponds (5L)

Huge Space for Cultivating Bacteria: Boxtech aquarium filter media has a huge surface area and through-flow porosity, which can effectively remove ammonia and nitrate and reduce nitrate in aquarium. Anti-corrosion and durable: High-quality ceramic media covered with thousands of porous pores, providing a large surface area for biological filtration and filtering out soda water. Strong water absorption: Bio filter media can effectively absorb fish excrement and debris, providing crystal clear water for fish. Purify water, remove odor: Canister filter media can remove ammonia and nitrite, stabilize PH value, absorb odor/heavy metals/toxins, effectively absorb fish waste and debris, and provide crystal clear water for fish to thrive, thus enhancing fish immunity. Widely used: Filter media is the best choice for freshwater and saltwater aquariums; available for aquarium hang filters, filter buckets, aquarium top filters, aquarium bottom filters, and ponds; washable and reusable.

Good value for money

This is a good filter material when you need it. This bag has a lot of them, so its value for money is really good. Each one is almost 1" thick so it may not work for some applications such as: B. a top filter. Even so, they are best used for canisters. Very porous material in which bacteria can settle. Really good filter media.

Pros
  • Widely used: filter material is the best choice for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums; available for hanging aquarium filters, filter buckets, attachment filters for aquariums, aquarium and pond bottom filters; washable and reusable
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Works the same as other biomaterials

These are the same ceramic biocarriers in a larger size. If you have a smaller filter, use regular biomaterial rings as they are not suitable for hanging filters. If you want to hide them separately in the back of your tank, a rectangular ceramic filter might be better as you can stack them on top of each other. In general, they work the same as other filters. The price is comparable to other bio carriers: 1 pound or 1 liter for $10. At the time of writing this review it was $20 for 2L.

Pros
  • Corrosion Resistant & Durable: High quality ceramic material coated with thousands of porous pores providing large surface area for biological filtration and soda water filtration

So much space!

I received this not knowing exactly what I am getting in terms of size/quantity. We have an axolotl and it is quite difficult to take care of it. You have to cycle your tank and then keep up the chemistry. They also produce a huge amount of waste, which then spoils your chemistry. And the beat goes on. I have a 20 gallon aquarium for our axolotl, with a large sponge filter and a regular cooking filter. I got this to add to the plate filter in hopes it would help with the bacterial colonies you…

Pros
  • Water Purification, Odor Removal: Canister filter media can remove ammonia and nitrite, stabilize pH, absorb odors/heavy metals/toxins, effectively absorb fish waste and dirt, and provide crystal clear water for fish growth, improving fish immunity
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Other
