I use them for hard training and racing. I ordered two pairs of these base layers and for the price I can't imagine how they could be any better. I have a more expensive base coat but I always choose it. Please note that the newer version of this shoe has no tag, which is a welcome change. The fit is as expected, although we serious cyclists tend to view anything but tight leather as loose, so bear that in mind. I expect the base coat to be tight.
