When I use a buff, the fabric threads are everywhere. I thought maybe the loose fabric would go away after a while, but it's still spattering onto the fabric after a few months. I will throw it away and order a product from another manufacturer. I should have sent it back straight away but I always thought it would get better.

I make custom knives and am having trouble finding the best buff for me. That's it! Doesn't fall apart when spinning. (Some I've bought have fallen apart). It is very soft on the surface but stable. I bought this set for a Jet 8" Desktop Buffer but they will not fit 5/8" shank. The mounting hole is too small. I can get the pads to "screw" onto the threads, but there is no way to get the pads to attach to the mandrel. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are usable with mandrel and threaded washers. Also, I don't expect them to last very long.
