Don't hold the wire long enough and too long to tie the rod

They don't provide a good grip on the wire. The wire dangles inside, twists and appears to break free. The rubber bushing is not seated properly, is too soft and pops out when tightened. Read reviews, follow instructions, watch videos, etc.; but had to send it back. The contact portion is also too long to fit either side of the connector pins. Sewell Silverbacks have this problem too and it's a shame as I really like the design. I will be using Sewell deadbolts. Hold the wire and the contact…

Great Product!: Audio & Video Accessories

All I can say is AMAZING! I read one negative review that was just rubbish. It didn't take me long to install these banana clips. I've added three photos showing how to connect them to the speaker wires. In the first photo, I stripped the end of the speaker wire about 1/8 inch. The second photo shows how wide the wire strands should be. NOTE: The strands must lie over the thread, NOT in it. The third photo shows what the strands should look like when bent. Press the banana clip firmly until it…

Very nice banana sticks! Easy to install and works very well.

I really like these banana clips. They are very easy to install and make for a cleaner installation than just stripping, twisting and trying to snap them into the clips on the back of your speakers and amps. The first thing to remember is that you don't have to shoot much. generally when connected to the speaker wire. Just a little, about a quarter of an inch will do. To install, you need to unscrew the bottom of the connector and insert the wire. Then strip the wire and bend it outside of the…

Very good product, excellent!

They work fantastically well with 12AWG wire, they are perfect. Strip the wire to leave enough length, with 12 AWG you can get a sleeve in a banana plug from Cable Matters, you may have to work. Tip 1: As others have pointed out, the wire should be adjusted so that it does not touch the threads. Tip 2: My cable was sewn together like most, and when you separate them you can see that there is still a small "overcoat" left on one side. the side always had to be "cut into the fork". The comfort…

I love these things

I've been waiting all these years to finally get banana plugs, I don't know why I've waited so long. They're very well built, they fit snugly into the ports on my speakers, and it was pretty easy to connect the cable to them. They look great and don't protrude enough to bother me that they damage the terminals if I don't get caught fumbling with my gear. I suppose they should last the rest of my life, especially considering how long I've waited to finally get them. If, like me, you're…

Good product! suitable for AV accessories

Very easy to use and works great with my new Yamaha AV receiver. The quality of the products is excellent, they are delivered in individual packaging (two pieces). It's easy to install speaker wire in clamps, but honestly if you're not as experienced as I am I'd like instructions to make sure I understand how to install the wire in the clamp. I ended up using YouTube (who's wrong?) to help me and the clips work great. "Twist" the wire to insert it into the end of the clamp, "shake" the wire…
