Made in China and it shows. The covered steps on it were very poorly made (indeed it was possible to get a brass sliver of it in your thumb). Looks almost like abrasion (little scraps of thread came off during production). However, I had to clean the threads to make sure it didn't leak. Also make sure you apply enough Rector Seal to the threads to ensure a tight seal. Women's threads looked great. At the same time, the block at the junction does not leak and works well.

This check valve works as advertised with a Shurflo pump but comes with no instructions. It is intended for installation between the pump and filter on the suction side of the pump. You don't need any tools, but the connectors are pretty tight. Carefully remove the filter and screw the check valve to the pump with plenty of tape, then connect the filter to the valve. Thread does not match the (soft) plastic thread on the pump. Without transverse threads or stripes on the plastic, it is not possible to simply pull on a thread. The plastic threads are slightly (thicker) so the (thinner) threads in the check valve try to sit on top of the plastic threads and not fit in the grooves. Our 2016 Minnie Winnie's solution tank started dripping from overflowing. When connected to "city water" it also filled our fresh tank through a leaking non-return valve.
