I have two ten year old ceiling fans that spin slowly. Changing the capacitors in both took 5 minutes and only a screwdriver to open the connector on the bottom. They spin as fast and as good as new, maybe even better.

It was perfect for my Harbor Breeze Baja fan. My fan ran very slowly at high speeds, but only after the blades were spinning. This part was just what we needed. Appropriate size, like OEM, easy installation if you know how to splice wires. Now my fan runs at all speeds and I no longer have to rotate the blades to start it.

We saved money with this product. We were considering buying a new 3 room ceiling fan as the fan would run slowly. We checked online and found that changing this part would help. I ordered a part from Revain and the delivery was very fast, I was able to swap 2 fans and they work like new. I just ordered another one for my last ceiling fan. This condenser is known to work properly in various models of ceiling fans. I have 2 Harbor Breeze fans and both capacitors are dead. Surprise! The same company that makes the failed capacitors sells them on Amazon under the name "Port Fan Replacement". So you know capacitors suck and people will be looking for new ones. I think it's only a matter of time before these fail too (unless they fix the defect).

Update 3/9: First the fan worked great. Now it just spins with a prayer and a twitch of the cord at least 15 times. I know the part was only $6 but this should have taken more than 2 weeks. We bought a house with a ceiling fan that didn't work. We were planning on replacing the fan, but I thought we should at least try that first. The $6 piece saved us a few hundred dollars. Just make sure you look at the capacitor in your fan to choose the right one.
