Last year the school required embroidered logos from a well-known clothing/uniform brand. This dress is cheaper (even without the cost of the logo) and better tailored. This dress is very cute and comfortable for my daughter. She is slim but tall. It is almost 3 1/2 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds and comes to her knees. I will not tumble dry it but will air dry it to maintain the fit. Would buy again. I ordered her 5/6
