Just bought this to replace a plastic rod that ripped and caused my closet rod and entire wardrobe to fall on the floor. It fits on a metal post in my closet and seems secure, but I agree with other posters that the screws aren't that good and come loose easily.

Great! Holds a wooden stand and you can compress the tops of the open top bracket if you like. If clothes are hanging on it, this is not necessary; it will not come out with the weight on it. Very well designed. Installation was very easy. I have three pairs, one for the high wardrobe and two more for the upper and lower wardrobe. Much better than what I could find at a hardware store.

The first thing that struck me upon opening is that the workmanship is pretty poorly done. The U-shaped piece has an area around the perimeter that has a different texture, and brush marks appear to be missing from the upper areas. The round part is better but also has some roughness. The instructions on the packaging recommend wall mounting. However, the hole spacing for the U piece is 2-3/16" and for the round piece 1-15/16", so at best 2 screws fit into the bolt.
