I bought this to use next to the bed at night when my throat is dry. It's great for that purpose - short enough not to fall off and easy to open and close in the dark. I want it to be insulated so the water stays cold. Would be great for small kids as the size is good for walking in the park or whatever, but I wouldn't buy it for that purpose as it doesn't keep the drink cold (or hot) (hence my lower rating).

I was looking for a stainless steel water bottle that doesn't have a straw but is still smaller. That's great. It's just like our adult water bottles and my 5 year old feels like a big kid. The color is great. We put a sticker on her and my kid thinks she's the coolest. It's beautiful and durable, it's been dropped a few times and you don't even notice.
