🎩 Columbia Unisex PFG Bonehead Straw Hat Review

I really liked this Columbia straw hat. It looks good and the convenient packaging is a big plus. But unfortunately the hat turned out to be uncomfortable for me. Only sizes S/M and L/XL are available. I had the opportunity to try on size L/XL and it seemed too big to me. So I ordered an S/M from Revain hoping it would be in a larger selection as well. Unfortunately, my head size falls between the two ranges. If it fits your head, you will love this hat.

I bought this hat hoping the shade would not be as light as the one I had previously bought. It's light green on the website and the one sent is white and doesn't match the picture at all. This one was so light it looked like one of those panama hats worn in the 1930s. To top it off, whoever packed it stuffed it in so hard that the hat was badly deformed. I hate the color and the shape was damaged in packaging so I sent it back.

I love this hat for both men and women - I am so happy to find it on Amazon having bought my first one a few years ago from Bass Pro Shops about 1500 miles from where I live and although used fairly regularly it is still in very good condition. A family member recently complimented me and I found it on Amazon to order as a gift. Perfect for travel and perfect for summer. Bought for my husband before I left for Europe last summer. I measured my head according to the size chart and ordered L/XL. He likes how the hat fits and how it looks. I love the fact that he doesn't worry about the hat getting wrinkled or deformed. The headband is stretchy and stretchy materials often cause skin rashes, so I definitely didn't want to keep this hat. Also, the "fossil" color is a gall green with glittering golden hues (which only draw attention to the ugly hue). The hat is also quite heavy. I recently bought this hat for a Caribbean cruise to protect the beaches from the sun. It didn't disappoint. With an SPF of 50, it lived up to its reputation. The hat runs big. I have the original version of this cap that I bought while fishing in Florida about 6 years ago. It's hard to find hats that fit large heads, but they fit my 7-5/8 head perfectly. This hat is still sturdy but showing its age and looking a little dirty from all use so I decided to buy a new one. Unfortunately they seem to have changed the manufacturer and sizes of these hats.
