🧥 Columbia Bugaboo Interchange X Large Women's Jacket: Coats, Jackets & Vests Review

I ordered a size larger than I usually wear because I wanted it to be loose and not tight. During our last TN winter, I wore it tobogganing and when it was really cold outside. It was very warm, dry and comfortable. I love how you can use the jacket interchangeably for different weather conditions. Columbia makes great products and I will definitely buy them again.

I needed to replace my 9 year old winter coat (also Columbia) and chose this one because I liked the style and also liked the spare option the coat had . I was skeptical at first when I got this one because it was a lot thinner than my previous one, but after wearing it for a few weeks I have to say it kept me warm very well, like my old thick coat.

This jacket is actually more like two jackets. The inner fleece is completely unzipped and can be worn separately. The fleece itself is very warm and comfortable, but when the fleece is zipped into the outer shell, this jacket is even perfect for skiing in Vermont. This combo (paired with a sensible layer of underwear) kept me warm in the mountains of New Hampshire last winter and while working on the subway on the coldest days in DC. Pros: This coat is neither heavy nor bulky, the color black is true black and fits true to size. Received it quickly from the seller and for less than the Columbia website which was nice. Also, it's basically 2 coats in one, zippers and velcro. Cons: This is not a coat to wear a bulky sweater with if you order your true size as there is no extra room. Great winter jacket. In fact, it's great for spring, fall, and winter. It's not bulky but keeps you warm. I've used fleece to keep me warm on cold days and even around the house for extra coziness. I also used the shell as a rain cover. Love the pockets and the way they zip up to keep essentials safe. I'll probably buy another one, just for a change. I had a very similar coat that I bought in 2007, it was large and cut slightly larger than I could wear a sweatshirt and is still comfortable. But after reading the reviews I settled on this extra large which is good because it fits perfectly but I probably can't add an extra layer as it might be too tight. I've ordered almost every type of Columbia jacket this season and tried them all on. Ultimately, I decided to do this for a number of reasons. First I liked the white details of the jacket. This made it look a lot better than the other all black ones. Second, my thin Northface synthetic down jacket zips up, so it wasn't a problem for me that the jacket came with a thin fleece inner jacket.
