This is perfect for my 11 year old and he loves the color red. This is probably our third Columbia Whirlibird stocking hat (kids sometimes lose things) and I've always been happy with the quality, fit and warmth.

Although it was delivered quickly and from a well-known brand, it was too small. I buy winter hats to cover my sons ears from the harsh western winters. It didn't help. Don't let the size of the "big ones" fool you. It was not suitable for a 7 year old child. Came back looking for a better option.

This item was listed for babies and I ordered this for my 10 month old grandson, he is big enough for his dad. I just went back to check what I missed, it says "Boys 8-11" in small light gray letters. It should have been a lot more noticeable, especially since I had special filters for babies. They leave on Saturday, so there is no time for an exchange.

Very warm and cozy, fleece inside and knitted outside. It's a hat but it still feels small on my 6 year old head. Also, the fleece interior feels a little big because it overhangs the knitted exterior and blisters. A slight adjustment to Columbia sizing makes this hat perfect.
