Disappointing Quality, Not Worth the Purchase

After I put it to the test, I was thoroughly disappointed with this aluminum coolant reservoir. The quality just wasn't up to par with other automotive replacements I've purchased in the past. While the design of the product was visually appealing, it failed to perform properly and began leaking after just a few uses. The only pro I can give is that it looks nice, but the cons far outweigh any aesthetic appeal. Not worth the purchase in my opinion.

Pros
  • Durable aluminum construction ensures longer lifespan compared to plastic reservoirs
Cons
  • Requires additional installation steps for proper fitment compared to OEM plastic reservoir

Well made, perfect fit

Well made block. Teflon tape had to be used for the inspection and bottom drain plugs. I replaced the included 15psi cap with the factory 16psi cap and all is good now.

Pros
  • Coolant Conversion Kits
Cons
  • Good but not great

Quality assembly with some problems

Overall well assembled product. After years of use on my 2005 F450 I have to say the following. In general the design is good. A year ago, when it was first installed, the sight glass and the drain plug were leaking. It's okay, the silicone sealant worked fine. If the manufacturer uses a G-thread and rubber washer for the gasket, use at least a C-hole to hold the gasket. The rubber seal simply slips off and causes a leak. I like the shot peened finish but radiator cap threads, sealing surfaces…

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Minor things
