Length and quality are excellent, but the waist is ridiculously small. I could tell before my son tried them on that they would be difficult to fasten. The rest of the pants are baggy in comparison. There is no elastic on the belt (as in one of the photos in the review) - the only elastic inside, with buttons, like children's trousers (the photos in the advertisement correspond to reality). I can't say anything about the durability yet because we just received it. I bought my son a pair of navy blue convertible pants as an alternative to the official Scout pants. The material is much thinner than scout pants, but looks good with the uniform and is similar in color to the shirt. The zipper legs are ok. But the back pockets are completely fake, which looks silly on hiking pants. All in all, I'm not sure if they're worth the price. I will save as our scout shop is far away and they…

We bought these for my son because he is white and needs a new uniform. Those are great pants. They're pretty much comparable to the ones my oldest son wears from the Boy Scout store, but sometimes cheaper. The material is thin, but that means it dries quickly if it gets wet. He'll definitely need the bottom layer when it gets cold. The belt is very tight but fits. I like the drawstring in the pants so he can wear them without a belt if it's not for boy scouts.
