These pastels are great. I'm a copycat and I'm always trying other mediums. While I'm not very keen on oil pastels, I thought I might try Crayola pastels for the price. I don't know how they compare to student or fine art grade oil pastels but for the colors in these pastels they are worth the price. I had this as a child and so did my mother; We both remember playing with them all those years later! Bought these for my 6 year old brother and he loves them! He loves how they mix and blend together. Different paper structures produce different effects. They cover all his fingers (because they're so soft) and he has a habit of wiping them on his shirt and pants without thinking, so we put some dirty old clothes on him so we wouldn't soil his good clothes.
