Good device for the money

The device works well once you know what to do with it. There are practically no instructions. I use it to run two 48v fans from my 12v power supply. It works great.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Hmm some more info would be nice

Still trying to get started. I blew three, everything is ready, it seems that the protection is weak and I don't get any pop-ups on bluetooth. The guy said instructions

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Blank

Magic smoke released

I've tried using it to anodize titanium but to no avail. It put out high voltage as advertised, although as soon as it saw 700mA it hissed and then shorted out. I would not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • unreliable

Lots of noise at high voltage

This is a very noisy boost converter. I'm trying to run it from 12v to 180v with a relatively low current draw and it generates a tremendous amount of noise where it can't be used in my home electronics project.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • So far so good

No documentation but a search for YH11068A turned up some information including a reconstructed schematic and some noise analysis. When delivered, it is configured for operation with 10-32 VDC. To reconfigure to 8-16V it seems it is necessary to rearrange the soldered jumper, but there is no clear indication of what needs to be rearranged and it's all overhead. The claimed continuous output power is 40 watts, peak - up to 70 watts. The output voltages, both positive and negative, are…

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Positive and negative results; Beautiful unit!

Although this power supply claims 45-390 volts, it actually produces two identical outputs: +45 to +390 VDC and -45 to -390 VDC simultaneously, the maximum difference is 780 V. Two sockets track more Or less. A precision potentiometer with 25 turns sets the output voltage. The output is not floating but tied to a common input ground. The two 10uF aluminum electrolytic capacitors on the two outputs are rated for 400V, so it's probably best to run this thing at 300V or less. If you're only using…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
