Rotating rear handle provides improved ergonomics in cutting and grinding applications for the metal grinder. 5-position side handle of DEWALT angle grinder provides improved ergonomics for specific applications. Epoxy coated field and armature provide long service life against abrasion from airborne debris. Low-profile gear case allows for work in tight areas. Keyless adjustable guard provides tool-free guard adjustments to increase productivity. Automatic turn-off brushes shut down the tool when brushes need to be changed to avoid tool damage. 6,000 RPM provides optimal material removal with 9-inch grinding wheels. 2-wire double insulated 'S' jacket rubber cord provides increased durability and life in hot and cold climates. This product runs off of AC/DC power.

Powerful and reliable grinder for heavy-duty tasks!

I purchased this industrial and scientific grinder for my metalworking projects, and it has exceeded my expectations. The motor is incredibly powerful and provides a smooth operation, even when using the tool for extended periods. The large disc size also allows me to tackle larger pieces with ease. However, due to the size and power of the tool, it can be a bit heavy and cumbersome to use, especially for those not used to such machinery.

Extreme Grinder in Grinders

For you desperate for a semi-helpful review as opposed to the other 3 reviews here I'll try. This grinder is a beast. After much research I found that this is the best performing coffee grinder that DeWalt has to offer. Don't get bogged down in this meat grinder. This thing has unimaginable power. I currently use it with a 7" grinding wheel and can remove a large amount of metal quickly and easily. My 4.5" 10AMP grinder is very powerful but tires me out when I have to remove a lot of material…

A powerful tool with 9 " limits - be prepared to be plated and blacked out.

I purchased this Dewalt angle grinder to cut large rocks for outdoor landscaping in a mountain environment. The size, weight, and power of this tool are certainly up to the task. It is not an easy tool and any user, especially if you hold this tool in your hands for a while, should be up to the task. You need a lot of arm strength. He weighs 14 pounds!
