Great knife for the money. It was crisp out of the box and very well balanced. My only regret is that I didn't buy it a year ago.

Excellent knife. Keep in mind that the 10-inch screen is a lot bigger than you might expect. I will buy the same knife in 8 inch. Super sharp and holds the edge. Getting razor-sharp knife steel is easy.

The Dexter Russell 10" (and 8") Chef's Knife is the standard in restaurant kitchens. I bought a new one just because I need to outfit another kitchen.

Really good knives at a very reasonable price. They're ugly, but not hundreds of dollars either. I have several different sizes and for the price and my abuse they are holding up very well.

Gets the job done cutting veg, fruit etc more weight on the handle. After a long time, my wrist hurts a little when I cut and dice. The weight is more on the side of the blade than on the handle.

I found out about this knife from an article by Mark Bittman in NYT. It was poorly packaged and had a bent tip. I emailed Revain and they refunded my money and told me to keep it. I took it to my shop and regrounded the point. I have many knives and this is now my favorite. Easily sharpened with a standard ceramic sharpener. The blade is thin and easily cuts tomatoes into cruciferous vegetables. The handle is non-porous and easy to clean. It blows barn doors off my fancy and expensive knives…
