Dexter-Gordon are a reliable supplier of industrial knives at a reasonable price and their products are great for home use. much better than the hyped German or Japanese cutlery brands and at a much cheaper price.

Very nice knife. Comfortable grip and sharp blade. However, when I ordered the picture of the knife that appeared in my order email, it is a paring knife, not a boning knife. But the right knife is what I got.

Model 4818 has a fairly narrow blade with a good curve to penetrate between bone joints. Sometimes the tip is bent, but it's easy to straighten it. I probably use 4819 a bit more because the blade is thicker, stiffer and heavier. I have used them together for slaughtering, butchering and butchering goats, sheep and pigs.

Really great knife at an incredible price. Great packaging, sharp knives out of the box, well designed and made. I own many Wustoff and Henkel knives and love them all but these Dexter knives like boning, butcher and general kitchen knives can't beat the price.
