All 8 rusted - didn't last the winter

I only have 6 in the photo but I thought I got it. I had to replace 8, I received them in mid-December in a totally damaged box and all 8 were rusted before February. Definitely not worth the money. Now I have to replace them because they stand out and look bad.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from the testers
Cons
  • Have been damaged

The most important thing to know? Scrap

I purchased this on November 30, 2018. I installed them on my 2016 Chevy 2500 in early December 2018. It's January 19, 2019 and they're all rusted. they are garbage. And I'm very angry about that. Now I'm considering replacing them all again. What is PIA. word of warning. Don't buy this junk.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

good nuts. for tires and wheels

This product is intended to be a standard lug nut, it looks better than standard lug nuts and doesn't feel as fragile as OEM lug nuts. The original nut was damaged by a careless mechanic holding his air gun at a slight angle and the nut was pushed all the way onto the nut. This caused the nut's metal shell to bend slightly. After he did that, you couldn't fully assemble the bushing onto the nut.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Negative impression

Looks like OEM.

Worked great. The dealer wanted more for two than I paid for ten here. The problem with OEMs is that they are encapsulated in a chrome can that cracks over time, looks awful and makes it almost impossible to mount a socket onto a nut. While I don't need ten right now, if you drive your car for over 10 years like me you will end up using it and if you don't it's still cheaper if you only use two.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Check your packaging

Upon receiving the package, you can find that the janitor's box has fallen apart in the bag, and in fact, one of the corners of the Amazon bubble wrap has burst, causing 2 nuts to fall out and lost walk. The nut shape and style are very similar but not OEM. If you stop close you can see the differences. They seem to fit the wheel and look good from a few feet away. Time will tell if they hold up over time.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Junk Item - Lug Nuts and Accessories

I bought 10 Dorman lug nuts for my 2012 Chevy Equinox. After installing them on my car, I bought the remaining 10 so I would have new nuts all over my car. My original nuts started to rust after 7 years and over 150,000 miles. The new Dorman nuts looked good and seemed like a great replacement. The first 10 started to rust within 2 weeks and now the other 10 I bought are starting to rust. They are recommended as a suitable replacement on many websites. I learned my lesson the hard way. I just…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Haven't worn yet but will check if they fit. The reason I bought them for my 2017 Silverado is because I couldn't find any black nuts that I liked. I can't understand why dealers would sell a blacked out car with polished aluminum nuts so I also bought 22mm black plastic caps which defiantly did the trick!

Pros
  • Corrosion Resistant - Chrome plated design and removing the cap prevents future rusting
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
