💧 Dorman 61127 Radiator Drain Cock - Expert Assistance Needed! Review

This item is perfect for 2003 Ford Expedition. There weren't any problems at all. The hex head on the original factory drain plug came loose when I tried to loosen it. I was able to loosen it with a 9/16 allen wrench and then pull out the broken part. This new drain plug is present.

Worked great called Napa, Oreilly, Carquest and Ford 3 didn't have it and couldn't order it and one said I had to buy a whole new radiator assembly. To do this, I would simply permanently plug and drain the radiator hose. Found this and it worked great. No problem. Used on my Ford Ranger V6 XLT 07

This part is injection molded plastic and that's fine. But the part was badly designed. The shaft is hollow, not solid, and there was a hole in the wall that held the radiator fluid, large enough to show the sky when I pulled it up. This causes liquid to drip away at about 1 drop per second. Completely useless and incorrigible. Bad design, bad manufacture and no quality assurance.
