Downy Ultra April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner, 1.02 L Review

Received my fabric softener from Downy and I knew straight away I was about to make a mess. The bottle was wrapped in polyethylene but the cap was not secured with tape. It got into the plastic. I only have half a bottle left. I've bought this several times and have always had tape wrapped around the top to make sure it doesn't leak. It was a waste of money.

Good product but I wonder if it's really necessary when using more environmentally friendly cleaning products that are not as harsh as other more chemically stronger cleaning products. The artificial smell is too strong, and while many associate it with "clean clothes," I prefer "unscented" as a trademark for "clean clothes." I'll start washing with eco-friendly detergents and no rinsing and see what happens. We may be using a lot of chemicals that the world doesn't really need.
