Good transition between stock and aftermarket. K&N is always of very high quality. They don't strive for cheapness like many other manufacturers. Easy installation in MJ 10 Audi S5 6MT V8. I can't tell if there is an audible difference as I already have non-resonant downpipes and exhaust. Already loud. But it seems to sound more fluid, more fluid. Maybe it's my imagination. If you're thinking of an air intake for your Audi N/A then by all means don't worry about anything other than this filter.

This item doesn't fit my 2014 SQ5. It seemed normal to assemble, but I remembered the previous reviewer's words about the air gap. The interface on this product is different from the OEM part. Instead of a large O-ring, it has a rubber collar. Of course there was a small air gap between the filter and the air box which presumably could allow unfiltered air to enter the engine. Although Revane says this filter does not fit Audi SQ5, it definitely fits my SQ5 perfectly. I bought this filter even though Revain says it doesn't fit, it does. I won't deny that getting the filter housing out of the car is no easy task, but that's Audi's stupid design, not K&N's fault. Now I really hear the sound of the engine intake where I didn't hear it before with a regular filter. The intake noise tells me this device breathes more freely than a standard filter.
