I use this unit at the body shop where I work. It's great for those long curves on the body lines. I definitely recommend this if you don't have a curved block.

This sanding block is AWESOME! It has a shape for every nook and cranny we need to grind on our 1968 Vette. Grinding an entire car isn't fun, but this block makes it as easy as possible. Works great for wet sanding and is easy to hold.

I am doing body work on a fiberglass body and am having trouble connecting the different parts of the mold. With other sanding blocks I've tried, I've removed too much material from both sides of the seam, leaving a seam. The 1/3 radius sanding block gives me the ability to just focus on the seam without removing unnecessary material. The block is also good for sanding some curved surfaces on bodywork. I won't need it when the car is finished, but I couldn't finish without it.
