This is a very nice knife and I LOVE the wooden sheath! I wish all my fine knives came with one. It is a high carbon steel so extra care must be taken to ensure it is dried properly as carbon steel, while strong and durable, can corrode and rust quickly when exposed to moisture.

It is elegant and comes in a gift box with a unique wooden sheath. The full shank blade is made of high carbon stainless steel. It's lighter than expected for a 9 inch knife. I would use this for slicing, dicing, or shredding veggies and meat. I expect this knife to get a lot of work. The packaging and wooden sheath make this knife a great gift.

I cannot describe my first impression enough. The knife was of course sharp, but it came in a bundle in a very nice box with a magnetic lid. The manual was complete and easy to read (unlike many others). The document has everything you need to know including how to sharpen a knife. It also came with a dust-free knife cloth. Probably the best knife I've seen/used in this price range. If it cost twice as much (I wouldn't be surprised) or more then maybe 4 stars would be appropriate, but for less than thirty dollars a knife this sharp, well made, well weighted and comfortable is a steal. Even more so when you add a quality box and wooden shell.
