I live in an area with harsh winters and hot summers. I bought these lights in Spring 2020 and placed them on the ground in my flower bed. I didn't take them in winter, I didn't turn on the light to endure our windy, frosty and snowy winter conditions. It's Spring/Summer 2021 and these lights are still working great! These lights There are 2 sets available. One didn't work. I removed the backing and the wires weren't soldered to the posts, but I was able to wrap the wires around the posts with needle nose pliers. Fixed. He stepped face down on his new glasses, working with a flashlight in the dark and mud, scratching them badly. Argh.
